Graphic Design

Corporate, nonprofit, government? We’ve done it all. Good design changes the game. Home computers, desktop publishing and word processing applications have made it easy for just about anyone to write their own book-but that doesn’t make them the next Mark Twain. Similarly, Photoshop and Illustrator and other design programs have made it easy for anybody with a computer to create their own designs, but that doesn’t make them the next Picasso or Eames or Jobs. Unfortunately, these powerful tools have helped spread a lot of muddled and downright ugly design nonsense. Thanks Adobe.

Good design requires a keen understanding of the intersection of form and function, a sharp sense visual communication and a sense of whimsy that is combined with a firm recognition that design is serious business. It’s an improbable combination of talents, but a combination found in abundance in GHC studios. We can bring that talent to bear for you.

The Gateway Arch. The iPod. The Sydney Opera House. The Volkswagen Beatle. Be an icon.

According to a recent study in The Economist, people who are judged by their peers to be “attractive” earn 7-10% more than the average. Those judged to be “unattractive” suffer an even larger penalty, earning even less than average. We don’t have a study to back us up, but we believe that attractive organizations with a good looking presence on the screen and the page strongly outperform those that are dull or downright ugly. Good design isn’t a “nice-to-have;” it is 100% essential.
